Do you crave space to breathe, move and reconnect with yourself, without having to talk it all through?
What if your body could speak for you?
What if the heaviness could become something you shape, move, paint or release?
Art from the inside out is a monthly small group workshop for people who want to reconnect with their bodies, express what lives inside and gently release whats no longer theirs to hold.
You do not need to be good at art. You don't need the right words.
You just need a body and a willingness to listen to it.
Each session varies, but each time we follow a theme.
Each session may include the following:
* Grounding meditiation, breath and body scans
* Somatic movement, exercises or sensory awakening
* Intuitive art-making (like body mapping, clay, body painting, bilateral drawing and more)
* Gentle witnessing and self-reflection in a safe and held space with a Quaified and BACP registered Integrative Creative Art Therapist.
Whilst I cannot guarantee what you will leave feeling, some of the things you may feel are:
* More connected to yourself and your body.
You'll come home to your body - not as something to be fixed, but something to trust. You'll feel your breath again. Your feet on the ground. Your inner knowing waking up.
* Lighter
When we move and express whats been stuck inside, we soften the weight of it. You may not leave with answers, but you'll leave with space. With breath. With release.
* Seen and witnessed without words.
In a world that asks us to explain and justify, this is a space where your being is enough. There is never any pressure to share. No fixing. Just presence, and powerful, quiet witnessing.
* Expression and creativity
The marks you make, the shapes you form, the movement of your body, they all say something true. You'll leave having said something through art, even if you never uttered a word.
* Gentle regulation
Through breath, movement, rhythm and grounding, your nervous system will find a gentle inner peace. You may leave more rested, more present and more 'in your skin'.
* Inspired
Not to perform, but to live; authentically in your body, mind and soul. To keep listening to what your body already knows, to its subtle messages - To let your body guide you.
Whilst I cannot guarantee what you will leave feeling; some of the things you may feel are:
* More connected to yourself and body
* Less stuck in your head
* Regrounded, resourced and expressive
* More creative
